TMNT : Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Overview
TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the Game Boy Advance adapts the plot of the 2007 CGI film, where the estranged turtles must reunite to confront a resurgent Foot Clan and a figure named Winters, with Raphael operating separately as the Nightwatcher.
The gameplay is a sidescrolling beat-em-up where players control one of the four turtles, each wielding their signature weapon. Combat involves a basic attack button that can be modified with directional inputs and other buttons to execute moves like uppercuts and jump kicks, allowing for aerial combos. Defeated enemies drop health items, cash, and temporary weapons.
Progression is managed through an experience and upgrade system. Completing missions grants experience for leveling up a turtle's core stats. Collected money is spent between missions on permanent upgrades or additional weaponry, though found weapons have limited durability.
