Star X Overview
Star X is a third-person shooter where the player controls a ship from a rear perspective. The core objective involves navigating through stages to return to Earth with a warning.
This mission originates from a failed diplomatic encounter, as the alien species encountered seeks human enslavement rather than peace. Progression through the game requires completing specific stage objectives, which vary between defeating a boss and accomplishing tasks like clearing all space mines.
During gameplay, the ship's capabilities can be enhanced by collecting items. These include various weapons, upgrades for those weapons, and shield power-ups found within the stages.
