Zelda Invaders 2 Overview
Zelda Invaders 2 was one of those Flash games you'd find in the late 2000s, a simple mashup of two familiar ideas. It took the basic setup of Space Invaders and dropped it into the world of Hyrule. You controlled Link, but instead of exploring dungeons, you were stuck defending a line against waves of enemies descending from above.
You move Link left and right along the bottom of the screen with the arrow keys, firing arrows upward with the spacebar. Your goal is to clear each wave of enemies before they reach the ground or overwhelm you with their own projectiles. The game offered a few different maps, like a dungeon or castle setting, which changed the background more than the gameplay. The pacing was steady, with the difficulty ramping up as more enemies filled the screen and their attacks became harder to dodge. It feels like a straightforward, slightly frantic test of your timing and accuracy.
