Wheel Of Misfortune Overview
Wheel of Misfortune was one of those simple, direct games from the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, physical challenge you could play with a friend on the same computer. You took turns, and the goal was straightforward: survive.
You control a character strapped to a spinning wheel. Your friend controls another character on the opposite side. Using your mouse, you aim a weapon, like a throwing knife or an axe, at a section of the wheel. You have to time your throw carefully, releasing the weapon so it sticks into the wooden board without hitting your friend as they rotate past. The main objective is to be the last one standing by landing your shots and gradually destroying the wheel segments your opponent is tied to. The mechanics are all about precision and anticipation; you judge the rotation speed, pick your target area, and let go. The pacing is tense, with each successful throw making the wheel more unstable and the next shot more risky. It feels like a precarious balancing act where a slight miscalculation ends the game for everyone.
