Extreme Racing 2 Overview
Extreme Racing 2 was one of those straightforward racing games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't have a complex backstory or licensed cars. You just opened it in a browser and started driving. The game came out in 2005, developed by a studio known for simple arcade titles. It fit right in with other quick-play games from that time.
You control a small, top-down car from a bird's-eye view. The main goal is to survive on the track for 90 seconds without crashing. You use the arrow keys to steer, constantly weaving between other cars and roadside obstacles like barriers and cones. The track is narrow, and traffic comes from both directions, so you're always making small adjustments. The pace is relentless; the cars move fast, and a single mistake sends you spinning off. It feels tense and immediate, a test of pure reaction time where you're just trying to hold on for another second.
