D-day In Normandy Overview
D-Day in Normandy was one of those straightforward Flash games you'd find in the mid-2000s. It fit right into the era of browser-based action, a simple top-down shooter focused on a single historical event. You loaded it up, and it got straight to the point without much fuss.
You control a lone Allied soldier viewed from above. Your job is to move from the left side of the screen to the right, shooting every German soldier and vehicle you see. The main objective is simply to survive the push across each map, clearing the area of enemies. You fire with the mouse, often managing a limited supply of grenades for tougher targets like tanks. The pacing is relentless; enemies spawn continuously from bunkers and trenches, forcing you to keep moving. It feels like a constant, hectic scramble from one piece of cover to the next.
