Boxhead: More Rooms Overview
Boxhead: More Rooms was one of those games you'd find in the later days of the Flash era, a straightforward sequel that built on a simple formula. It came out around 2007, a time when a lot of us were killing a few minutes between classes or after homework. The developer, Sean Cooper, kept things uncomplicated, focusing on adding more of what made the original click.
You control a little white stick figure armed with a pistol, moving through a maze of rooms with the arrow keys. Your goal is to survive wave after wave of zombies and other monsters, clearing each room to progress. You collect coins from fallen enemies to buy upgrades between rounds, things like better guns, health packs, or barriers. The pacing starts manageable but quickly becomes frantic as the screen fills with enemies, forcing you to constantly strafe and shoot. It feels like a tense, chaotic scramble where a single mistake can end your run.
