Boxhead: 2 Player Overview
Boxhead: 2 Player was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It was a simple, top-down shooter built for two people on the same keyboard. You didn't need an account or a download; you just clicked and started playing with someone sitting next to you. The graphics were basic, just colored blocks and shapes, but that was part of its straightforward charm.
You control a small, colored box character. Your goal is to survive as long as possible against endless waves of enemies, which are other colored shapes that move toward you. You and your partner move with the arrow keys and WASD, firing in different directions. You collect weapons that appear on the map, like shotguns or machine guns, and you can place barriers or bombs to control the crowd. The pace is relentless; the screen fills up quickly, and you're constantly backing into a corner or making a desperate run for more ammo. It feels chaotic and cooperative, a test of how long you can last together before being overwhelmed.
