Tronic Overview

Tronic is a DOS game based on the Breakout formula, where a player controlled racket deflects balls to eliminate bricks. Clearing all bricks in a level allows progression to the next stage.

Certain bricks release collectible gadgets when hit. While many of these provide beneficial effects like adding extra balls or advancing the level, red gadgets are hazardous and can shrink the racket, invert its controls, or reduce the player's score.

A secondary weapon system called Gigablitz allows the racket to fire rockets. Its activation requires holding the Alt key and waiting for an indicator to fill, a process that is interrupted if any ball strikes the racket during the charge sequence.

The game includes a built in editor for creating, saving, and playing custom levels.
