Man of War Overview
Man of War is a naval combat simulation that alternates between two primary modes. The experience begins with a strategic planning stage, where players examine a battle map, evaluate fleet capabilities, and devise tactics before issuing initial commands.
Following this preparatory phase, the perspective shifts to a first-person view from the deck of the player's flagship. Here, the battle unfolds in real time, allowing free movement to observe the effects of orders amid cannon fire and variable weather. This action segment is constrained to a set duration before the cycle repeats.
Players can engage with either predefined historical conflicts or create their own scenarios. After each real-time sequence, the game returns to the strategic map to assess damage and reposition fleets, enabling new orders to be given. The conflict concludes with a summary screen detailing the outcome and declaring the winning side.
