Pocket Monsters : Green Version Overview
Pocket Monsters: Green Version centers on a young trainer's journey to become champion by collecting eight gym badges. This requires navigating the Kanto region, interacting with its inhabitants, and engaging in turn based creature battles.
Encounters with other trainers or wild creatures trigger a separate battle interface. During these fights, commands allow for direct attacks, switching active creatures, using items, or attempting to flee from wild encounters. Combat concludes when one side has no creatures remaining.
Progress is opposed by a persistent rival and the criminal Rocket Gang, whose schemes must be thwarted. A link cable connection to Pocket Monster Akai enables trading and battling, which is necessary to obtain every creature as some are version exclusive.
