Jimmy White's Cueball Overview
Jimmy White's Cueball is a pool simulation for the Game Boy Color. It presents a top-down perspective of the table, featuring several rule sets including straight pool, eight-ball, nine-ball, and snooker.
Players can compete against a selection of four computer opponents, each with a distinct name: Broke Ben, Nine Nigel, Suzy Cue, and Jimmy White himself. The interface for taking a shot consolidates several adjustments into a single process. Aiming direction, cue ball spin via an on-screen indicator, and shot power are all configured before execution.
The power level is set using a moving meter; timing a button press when the marker is in the correct position determines the strength of the strike. This control scheme is conventional for the genre, offering no unexpected mechanics.
