Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2 Overview
Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2 for the Game Boy Color is a distinct entry in its series, sharing only its name with the console versions. The conflict involves the Green Army fighting the Tan Army across thirty missions.
Gameplay is conducted entirely from an isometric viewpoint using vehicles. Before starting a level, players choose one of three soldiers: Vikki, Scorch, or Riff. Each character has access to three specialized craft for operations on land, in the air, or at sea.
Objectives are diverse, including eliminating all enemy forces, locating specific items or personnel, and safeguarding allies or installations. Every vehicle is armed with a standard weapon and a more potent secondary gun, the ammunition for which is finite. This special ammunition can be found inside destructible enemy structures.
Progress is recorded using a password system. The narrative between missions is presented through comic-style illustrations.
