Turok Evolution Overview
Turok Evolution for the Game Boy Advance is a side scrolling action title. Its gameplay is comparable to that of Contra, with certain stages shifting to a behind the view perspective akin to Cabal. The experience can be undertaken alone or with a second player.
The narrative functions as a prequel, casting the player as Tal'Set. After a conflict in 1886 Texas against Captain Tobias Bruckner, Tal'Set is wounded and transported to the Lost Lands. There, he becomes a protector for the River Village natives against the reptilian armies of Lord Tyrannus, whose goal is a violent purification of the land.
The setting encompasses jungles, floating cities, and ancient temples, populated by both dinosaur herds and enemy forces. The conflict escalates when Tal'Set learns his former adversary, Bruckner, has been made a general in Tyrannus's horde, prompting a widespread war across these diverse environments.
