The King of Fighters EX : NeoBlood Overview
The King of Fighters EX: NeoBlood is a fighting game for the Game Boy Advance, representing the series' debut on the platform. Its narrative is set two years after the 1997 tournament, where a new, mysterious sponsor revives the competition, sending invitations to powerful fighters amid rumors linking the event to the sealed Orochi power and the unexplained absence of Iori Yagami.
Gameplay retains the series' core 3-on-3 team battles, augmented by the Striker System for assist attacks. The visual presentation uses static 2D backgrounds, and the soundtrack is derived from King of Fighters 2000. Alongside standard modes like Team Play, Survival, and Time Attack, the title introduces a new exclusive character, Moe Habana, who joins the Hero Team.
The roster is organized into several preset teams. These include the Hero Team with Kyo Kusanagi and Shingo Yabuki, the Fatal Fury Team featuring Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui, the Art of Fighting Team led by Ryo Sakazaki, the Ikari Team with Leona Heidern, the Psycho Soldier Team centered on Athena Asamiya, and the Korea Team headed by Kim Kaphwan.
