Scurge : Hive Overview
Scurge: Hive is an action game where players control the bounty hunter Jenosa Arma. Her mission to investigate an alien organism on Planet Inos goes awry when she becomes infected, forcing a search for a cure within the contaminated research facility.
Gameplay involves navigating hostile environments while managing a persistent infection. This meter gradually fills and drains health if not periodically reset at specific stations, which also save progress. This creates a challenging pace, as players must complete objectives efficiently to avoid succumbing to the virus.
Combat against infected creatures yields experience, leading to improvements in health and weapon strength. Various armaments and tools are discovered to reach new zones, with certain weapons being highly effective against specific foes but useless against others, requiring tactical selection.
