Legends of Wrestling II Overview
Legends of Wrestling II for the Game Boy Advance presents a wrestling simulation where players can engage in various match formats. These range from standard singles contests to multi-wrestler and tag team bouts. The action is depicted from a side perspective, with combat involving strikes, grapples, and the ability to counter an opponent's actions.
Progression is centered around a Career mode where the player selects a starting region and is given randomized matches. The objective is to build a wrestler's fan approval through victories, eventually unlocking a title opportunity upon reaching maximum popularity. This mode also serves as the method to unlock additional characters, as the initial selection does not include the full roster of forty.
Gameplay mechanics include a system where successfully executed maneuvers fill a meter. Once this energy gauge is completely charged, the wrestler can perform a distinctive finishing move unique to their character. Outside of Career mode, players can participate in Exhibition matches or structured Tournaments, which feature randomly determined brackets for either individual or tag team competition.
