American Dragon: Jake Long: Rise of the Huntsclan is a side-scrolling action game based on the Disney animated series. The player controls Jake Long, a New York teenager who secretly protects a hidden population of magical beings from a persistent threat.
This threat is the Huntsclan, an organization dedicated to hunting magical creatures. Jake combats their forces and other hostile entities, such as trolls and harpies, using hand-to-hand combat. A skateboard can be used for faster movement across the game's environments.
Gameplay involves building a special meter by collecting items, which allows Jake to temporarily assume his powerful dragon form. In this state, he can unleash fiery breath attacks against enemies.
