Urban Slug 2 Overview
Urban Slug 2 was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It belonged to a wave of simple, fast-paced shooters that were easy to pick up during a break. The game didn't try to be complicated. It just dropped you into a city and gave you a gun.
You control a lone soldier moving from left to right. Your job is to shoot every enemy soldier and vehicle you see while rescuing hostages scattered through the levels. The controls are straightforward. You use the mouse to aim and click to fire, switching between a few different weapons you pick up along the way. The pace is relentless. Enemies pour in from both sides of the screen, and the difficulty spikes quickly, demanding quick reflexes to survive. It feels like a frantic scramble from one firefight to the next.
