Time Mission Overview
Time Mission was one of those straightforward shooters you'd find in the Flash era. It didn't try to be more than it was, a game you could load in a browser and play for a few minutes between other tasks. The setup was simple, placing you against waves of enemies drawn from various historical periods.
You control a lone soldier who moves and shoots in a top-down arena. The main goal is to survive each wave, clearing the screen of foes to progress. You switch between a few different weapons, like a standard rifle and a more powerful launcher, using number keys. Periodically, you can spend earned points on upgrades between rounds, which might improve your fire rate or damage. The pacing is consistent, with enemies arriving from all sides, and the difficulty builds steadily as you advance. It feels like a focused test of your ability to manage space and prioritize targets under increasing pressure.
