You control a runner navigating a field or arena. The moment-to-moment play involves moving to avoid opponents while closing in to attack them. Your main objective is to defeat all the enemy units, often referred to as bots, that have appeared. You use the arrow keys for movement and a separate key, like the spacebar, for a standard attack. Some versions include special moves mapped to other keys, allowing for a more powerful strike after building up a meter.
