Super Mario Bomber Overview
You control a character from the Mario series, moving them through grid-based levels with the arrow keys. Your main tool is the bomb, placed with the spacebar. The moment-to-moment play involves navigating maze-like screens, dropping bombs to blast through destructible blocks and, more importantly, to defeat the enemies that patrol the area. The goal is to clear all the enemies on each stage to advance. The pacing is quick, with a constant need to avoid your own explosions and the encroaching foes. It feels like a tense, quick-thinking puzzle where a mistimed bomb can easily trap you.
