Stinger Mission Overview
Stinger Mission was one of those games you'd find buried in the Flash portals of the late 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a straightforward premise that fit right into the era of quick, browser-based action. You loaded it up, and it got straight to the point.
You control a lone soldier in a city overrun by zombies and, oddly, hostile men in suits. Movement is simple with the WASD keys, and you press J to fire whatever weapon you're holding. The immediate loop is clear: blast the oncoming hordes, collect the cash they drop, and between waves, press B to open a shop menu for better guns. The game introduces combo moves, like pressing J and K together for a screen-clearing quake attack. The pacing is relentless, with enemies swarming from all sides, making ammo management and positioning constant concerns. It feels like a chaotic, claustrophobic scramble where every purchase and every special move is a temporary relief.
