Soakamon Overview
Soakamon was one of those simple, quick games you'd find during the Flash era. It appeared online when browser games were often about a single, clear idea. You loaded it up, and within seconds you were in the middle of a water balloon fight.
You control a character on a small, elevated platform, facing an opponent across the way. Using your mouse, you adjust the angle and power of your throws, lobbing water balloons to drench the other player. The core loop is straightforward: aim, fire, and watch the arc of your shot. A key mechanic involves timing your throws to hit a moving bonus balloon that drifts across the screen; hitting it yields a different, more potent projectile. The pace is brisk, with rounds ending quickly after a few direct hits. It feels immediate and slightly silly, a game built for a few minutes of uncomplicated fun.
