Hikouki Overview
You control a lone fighter plane, moving it with the mouse or keyboard across a scrolling landscape. Your goal is to survive as long as possible, shooting down waves of enemy aircraft that approach from the right side of the screen. The primary mechanic is holding down the mouse button to fire a constant stream of bullets, which requires careful positioning to hit targets without colliding with them. Some enemies drop power-ups when destroyed, temporarily upgrading your weapon's spread or fire rate. The pace is steady, with the difficulty gradually increasing as more aggressive enemy patterns appear. It feels like a focused test of your reflexes and positioning, where a single mistake can end a run.
