Heli Strike Overview
Heli Strike was one of those straightforward top-down shooters you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, satisfying action game you could load in a browser. The visuals were simple, the controls were immediate, and it fit perfectly into a short break.
You pilot a helicopter from a view right above it, using your mouse to steer and aim. Your primary goal is to clear each area of all enemy units, which include tanks, jeeps, and stationary gun emplacements. You have a standard machine gun for general use and a limited supply of powerful rockets for tougher targets. The challenge comes from managing your position to avoid return fire while lining up shots. The pace is constant, with new threats appearing as soon as you destroy the old ones. It feels like a tense, methodical sweep across a hostile map.
