Fighting Universe Overview
Fighting Universe was one of those straightforward space shooters you'd find in the Flash era. It came out in 2003, a time when a quick browser game could fill an afternoon. You just loaded it up and were immediately in the action, no complicated menus or backstory needed.
You control a lone starfighter against waves of enemy ships. Your main job is to survive as long as possible, clearing each screen of foes to progress. You move with the arrow keys, firing a constant laser with one button and dropping a screen-clearing smart bomb with another. The pace is relentless; enemies swarm from all directions, and their patterns become more aggressive the longer you last. It feels like a constant, tense scramble for positioning and timing your limited special attacks. The game has a simple, demanding rhythm that keeps you focused on the immediate threat in front of you.
