Dragon Metal Age Overview
Dragon Metal Age was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It fit right in with the era's straightforward action games, where you often controlled a single powerful unit against waves of enemies. The game had a clear, simple premise that didn't require much explanation before you jumped in.
You control a dragon from a top-down perspective, flying over a battlefield. Your main job is to fight against an army of human soldiers and other dragons. You move with the arrow keys and use the mouse to aim and launch fireballs at everything below. The objective is to survive the onslaught and destroy the enemy forces before they overwhelm you. The pacing is constant; enemies come from all sides, and you are always turning and firing. It can get quite difficult as the screen fills with more targets. The game feels like a hectic, continuous scramble to stay airborne and keep shooting.
