Boy And Girl Fortress Overview
Boy and Girl Fortress was one of those simple Flash games you'd find in the late 2000s. It didn't have a complicated story or fancy graphics. It was just two kids having a fight, and you got to pick a side. The setup was familiar to anyone who spent time on those old gaming websites.
You control either the boy or the girl, each standing on their own little hill. The goal is to knock the other player off their perch by hitting them with thrown objects. The boy throws shoes; the girl throws rocks. You use your mouse to set the angle and power of each throw, watching the arc of your projectile sail across the screen. The physics feel loose and a little unpredictable, which means you're constantly adjusting your aim. The game moves quickly, with turns swapping after each shot, and a direct hit usually ends the round. It feels like a silly, slightly chaotic playground argument made into a game.
