Bombay Taxi Overview
Bombay Taxi was one of those simple, single-screen games that felt typical of the Flash era. You would find it on a gaming portal, load it in your browser, and be playing within seconds. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, focused challenge.
You control a small yellow taxi. The goal is to park it in a designated spot on a cramped city street. You use the arrow keys to steer forward and backward, and the spacebar acts as a handbrake for sharper turns. The challenge comes from the tight space and the timer counting down. Other cars are parked along the curb, leaving very little room for error. You have to nudge the taxi back and forth, adjusting your angle carefully to slide into the spot without scraping the other vehicles. The game moves at a deliberate pace, demanding patience more than speed. It feels like solving a small, persistent puzzle with a steering wheel.
