Billiards Overview
Billiards was one of those straightforward Flash games you'd find in the mid-2000s. It didn't try to be anything more than a digital version of the table game, and that was its appeal. You loaded it in a browser, and there was the table, waiting. It was part of that era where a quick game was just a click away, no downloads or accounts needed.
You control the cue stick. A click and drag sets your shot, pulling back to aim and determine power, with a line often showing the cue ball's path. The main objective is simple: pocket all your designated balls, stripes or solids, and then sink the eight ball. The physics felt weighty; the balls had a satisfying clack and roll, sometimes with a bit of slide. You managed spin by aiming off-center on the cue ball, trying to position for your next shot. The pacing was deliberate, almost quiet, broken by the sound of a successful pot. It felt like a thoughtful, solitary practice session.
