Beach Volleyball Overview
Beach Volleyball was one of those simple Flash games you'd find on a school computer or a free gaming site in the early 2000s. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, accessible sports game you could play with a friend on the same keyboard. The graphics were basic, just a stretch of sand, a net, and two players, but that was all it needed to be.
You control a single player on a two-person team, moving them with the arrow keys. Your teammate is AI-controlled, which means you're constantly adjusting to their positioning. The main objective is to win points by getting the ball to hit the sand on the opponent's side. You jump to block at the net and time your hits to aim the ball into open space. The controls are responsive but unforgiving; a mistimed jump sends the ball flying out of bounds. Matches are fast, and the AI provides a decent challenge, making you work for every point. It feels like a stripped-down, focused test of your timing and anticipation.
