Tennis Elbow Overview
Tennis Elbow is a DOS tennis simulation where players engage in a career-oriented World Tour spanning 90 events against a roster of 250 competitors. The game offers a range of court surfaces, including grass, clay, flexi, and cement, which influence play.
Player creation involves selecting from distinct archetypes such as volleyers, defenders, punchers, or a varied style, with customizable kit colors and base abilities. These abilities improve through gameplay, leading to enhancements in serve speed and accuracy, as well as movement and jumping capability.
Matches can be played as standard singles or doubles, and also include unconventional two-against-one formats. The on-court action is presented from a third-person perspective, with the option to switch sides. A simple control scheme using two buttons combined with directional input allows for a variety of shots, including slices, three lob types, and delicate drop shots. Post-point replays can be viewed at different speeds and rewound.
