Pocket Camera Overview
Game Boy Camera Games is the collective name for the software bundled with the Game Boy Camera peripheral. This accessory, which takes the form of a Game Boy cartridge with an integrated camera, captures black-and-white still images.
The software provides three primary functions. One mode is dedicated to capturing and reviewing photographs, which can be edited with simple drawing tools. These pictures can be compiled into brief animations, transferred to another unit, or printed using a separate Game Boy Printer accessory.
Another mode repurposes the user's photographs within a selection of four included games. In three of these titles, a player's portrait replaces the standard character sprite. The available games are a music creation tool, a juggling activity, a racing game, and a title that serves as a follow-up to a late-1970s arcade release.
