NBA Jam 2001 Overview
NBA Jam 2001 for the Game Boy Color is a basketball title featuring the 29 official teams of the league. Player performance is governed by individual statistics affecting defense and scoring.
Five distinct modes structure the experience. These range from a full Season Game where the goal is to finish in the top eight and win the championship, to a more immediate Head to Head match against computer opposition. A Playoffs option offers a condensed version of the season with adjustable rules.
On the court, actions include shooting from distance, dunking, blocking attempts, stealing the ball, and passing. A turbo meter grants a player temporary enhanced speed. For preparation, a Practice mode provides solitary court access, while Link Game enables competition between two human players.
