Armada F/X Racers Overview
Armada F/X Racers is a futuristic racing title for the Game Boy Color, sharing its setting with the Armada universe from the Dreamcast. The action is viewed from a top-down perspective, with players piloting unique spacecraft belonging to one of six alien species.
Competition takes place on planetary circuits that feature tight corners and environmental dangers. During a race, participants can gather items that provide offensive capabilities or temporary performance increases, which can be used against AI rivals. A campaign structure guides players through progressively challenging series of these races, culminating in a confrontation with a boss character on each world.
Vehicle performance is not static, as upgrades affecting speed, durability, and handling can be applied between events. Once the main campaign is finished, a separate Survival mode becomes accessible, focusing exclusively on consecutive boss encounters.
