All Star Tennis 2000 Overview
All Star Tennis 2000 is a handheld adaptation of the series previously found on home consoles. It features real-world professional players, including Krajicek, Chang, Phillipousis, and Novotna, who can be used across several distinct match types.
Players compete on eight different courts, which vary in surface type such as grass, dirt, and tarmac. The available modes include Tournament, Arcade, and Smash Tennis, the latter permitting single or doubles matches. A separate Bomb Tennis mode introduces a challenging hazard where explosives detonate at ball impact locations, potentially disrupting player movement.
Multiplayer is supported through a link cable connection between two Game Boy Color systems. The Arcade mode structures play as a sequential series of matches against the entire roster of opponents.
