Tom and Jerry in Infurnal Escape is a 2D cartoon platformer for the Game Boy Advance. The premise involves Tom being sent to hell after a mishap, where a fairy-cat offers him a chance to escape by returning to the living world to gather golden bones.
Gameplay consists of navigating fifteen levels, each containing hidden bones and various enemies. The player controls Tom, who can find items like a bat for attacking, cheese to distract Jerry, and extra lives represented by Tom's head. Jerry appears throughout as an antagonist, sometimes hindering progress or assisting foes.
Progress is managed through a password system, as the game lacks a save function. Losing all lives returns Tom to hell, where he must regain three lives within a two-minute limit to restart the current level. The final objective is to defeat the devil dog boss.
