Super Monkey Ball Jr. is a handheld adaptation of a console puzzle series. Success depends on guiding the ball to specific goals, which can include reaching an exit within a time limit or gathering collectibles, across stages of varying complexity that present a challenging progression.
Multiplayer options are available for up to four participants through a set of distinct mini games. These modes, which require unlocking via the single player campaign, offer activities such as a bowling simulation, a combat game where players attempt to knock each other out of a circular arena, and a complete eighteen hole golf course.
