Arctic Tale Overview
Arctic Tale adapts a National Geographic documentary into a survival game set in snowy landscapes. The primary goal across its eleven stages is to maintain an animal's health by gathering food, which prevents a heart icon from depleting.
Initially, the player controls a polar bear cub, later progressing to an adult bear and eventually gaining access to a walrus and an Arctic fox. Each creature has distinct abilities, such as underwater exploration or hunting rabbits. The gameplay involves navigating free roaming environments on land and underwater to find sustenance.
Progression is tied to collecting paw prints, which unlock chapters and a photo gallery. Additionally, sixteen mini games offer separate challenges, including obstacle courses, races, and scavenger hunts. Success in these activities, measured by bronze, silver, and gold awards, also grants access to further story content.
