Woobies Overview
Woobies came out during the Flash era, a time when simple, colorful puzzle games were easy to find and play in a browser. It was a straightforward match-three game, the kind you'd load up between other tasks.
You control a cursor, using it to swap adjacent tiles on a grid. The goal is to clear the board by making matches of three or more identical Woobies before a timer, represented by a descending weight, crushes them. The mechanics include creating special bomb tiles with larger matches, and using joker tiles to clear specific colors. The pace is steady, but the later levels introduce tighter layouts and more obstacles, making the puzzles genuinely tricky. It feels like a quiet, focused race against a gentle but persistent clock.
