Warasite Overview
Warasite was one of those games you'd find buried in a Flash portal, a small action shooter from that era of simple, direct browser games. It had a particular look, with its pixelated microscopic world where you controlled a parasite navigating a petri dish of sorts.
You guide your parasite with the mouse, using a click to fire and strafe around the circular arena. The immediate goal is to survive waves of other organisms, shooting them down before they overwhelm you. Defeated enemies drop currency, which you collect between rounds to purchase new weapons from a shop; there were several to choose from, altering your rate of fire and attack pattern. The pace is constant, and the difficulty builds steadily as more aggressive enemies appear. It feels like a tense, contained scramble for survival where every shot and dodge matters.
