Vooz Overview
Vooz was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the mid-2000s. It belonged to a wave of puzzle games that were easy to pick up but could quietly consume an afternoon. The clean, simple graphics and smooth animations were typical for the time, designed to run in a browser window without much fuss.
You control a fixed launcher at the bottom of the screen, aiming with your mouse to fire colored orbs into a winding chain of them. Your goal is to prevent that chain from reaching the end point. You do this by creating matches of three or more identical colors, which makes those orbs disappear. The core loop involves watching the chain's pace, planning your shots, and sometimes creating chain reactions to clear large sections. The game starts gently, but the pathways soon twist more, and the speed increases, demanding quicker decisions. It feels like a focused, rhythmic task of managing a constant, colorful flow.
