Varmol Mayhem Overview
Varmol Mayhem was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the mid 2000s. It fit right in with the simple, quick games of that era, the kind you'd play for a few minutes between other tasks. The premise was straightforward, and it didn't try to be anything more than a light distraction.
You control a cursor, using your mouse to whack creatures as they emerge from holes in a garden. The main objective is to clear each wave by hitting every target that appears. Some of the varmints require multiple clicks to defeat, which adds a small layer of strategy to the frantic clicking. The pacing starts slow but quickly builds, and the screen can become crowded, testing your speed and precision. The game feels like a race against the clock, where a moment's hesitation means a missed target and a lower score.
