Thin Ice Overview
Thin Ice was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the early 2000s. It had a simple premise and clean graphics that loaded quickly, a common trait for games from that period. You didn't need an account or a download; you just clicked and started playing.
You control a small skater with your mouse, tracing a path across a grid of ice tiles. Your goal is to trap the monsters chasing you. You do this by skating over the ice, which cracks and eventually breaks away to open water. If a monster follows your path onto a weakened tile, it falls through. The challenge comes from managing several monsters at once, each moving at its own pace. The game starts calmly but quickly demands faster decisions as the ice shrinks and the creatures close in. It feels like a tense, sliding puzzle where your own trail is both your weapon and your biggest risk.
