The Lord Of The Harpoon Overview
You control a small boat moving left and right across the bottom of the screen. Using the arrow keys, you angle your harpoon upward to aim at the fish swimming above. Timing your shot is everything; you wait for a fish to cross your sight line and fire. The main objective is straightforward: catch enough fish to feed your family, specifically your wife, who is depicted waiting on shore. If you fail to bring in a catch, she will eventually starve. The mechanics are bare bones, involving movement, careful aiming, and a constant pressure to perform. The pacing is relentless, as the hunger meter ticks down with each passing moment. It feels like a tense, repetitive struggle against a very basic clock.
