Synapsis Overview
Synapsis was one of those Flash games you'd find tucked away on a puzzle site in the late 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a quiet, clever idea. You played as David Carter, a man trapped inside his own subconscious, and the goal was to guide him out.
You control everything with the mouse, clicking to pick up objects like keys, batteries, or strange symbolic artifacts. The puzzles involve combining these items, manipulating devices in the environment, and paying close attention to recurring patterns. The rooms are sparse, almost clinical, which makes every new item feel significant. The difficulty builds steadily, and some solutions require a bit of lateral thinking. It feels like carefully untangling a knot in complete silence.
