Summer Shells Overview
Summer Shells was one of those simple, colorful games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't have a complex story or a big name behind it, but it was a pleasant way to spend a few minutes. The game captured that feeling of a casual beachside activity, translated into a straightforward digital format.
You control a small diver, moving left and right along the ocean floor with the arrow keys. Your goal is to gather as many scattered seashells as possible before your air meter runs out. Each dive is a short, timed scramble. You can also collect pieces of floating trash for extra points, but you must avoid jellyfish and other sea creatures; a single touch makes you drop every shell you're carrying. The pacing is quick, and the challenge comes from managing your air while navigating hazards. It feels like a focused, slightly tense scavenger hunt under the waves.
