Stretchy Man Overview
Stretchy Man was one of those odd, simple games that felt typical of the Flash era. You would find it on a portal site, play for a few minutes, and then move on. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick distraction, and that was part of its charm. The game had a certain rough, homemade quality that was common at the time.
You control a stick figure with elastic limbs. The core action is using the arrow keys to move and the A key to attack. Your arms and legs shoot out to punch or kick enemies, which are other stick figures and simple monsters. You can also pick up weapons like swords with the S key, though you often end up just using your stretchy limbs anyway. The goal is straightforward: clear each room of all enemies. The pace is fast, and the difficulty comes from being surrounded and having to manage your attacks carefully. It feels like a frantic, slightly clumsy brawl where your own limbs are your best and most unpredictable tools.
