Street Menace Overview
Street Menace was one of those games you'd find buried in the Flash portals of the early 2000s. It fit right in with the simple, fast-paced arcade style that was common then. You controlled a car from a top-down perspective, and the goal was straightforward: drive.
You guide your car through dense city traffic, weaving between other vehicles. The immediate objective is to collect the cash that scatters across the asphalt while avoiding red bombs that end your run. There's a constant push and pull between chasing money and not hitting pedestrians; running over too many people will also stop you. The controls are basic, using the arrow keys to accelerate, brake, and steer. The game moves quickly, demanding sharp reflexes as traffic patterns become more chaotic. It feels like a tense, chaotic scramble where a single mistake resets everything.
